About the salon
A small room, and no upselling
The Skin Room opened off Cold Bath Road in 2013 as one room with one bed, and it is still one room. That is deliberate: you get the same person each time, and nobody is working to a sales target.
Everyone here is qualified to Level 3 and insured, and we keep training up because the products keep changing. If your skin needs a dermatologist rather than a facial, we will tell you that too.

Before you book
What a first appointment looks like
No mystery and no upselling. This is the whole of it.

Patch test first. Tint and lash work needs a test 48 hours beforehand, every time, even if you have been coming for years. Book it when you book the treatment — it takes two minutes.

Fifteen minutes on your skin. Before anything is applied we look at your skin in daylight and ask what you actually use at home. If a facial is the wrong answer this month, we will say so.

The price is the price. What is on the treatment list is what you pay. Nothing gets added at the till and nothing is sold to you on the way out — there is no commission here.
