We roast our own beans in the back and bake everything on the counter that morning. Come in for a slow one, or take it up the hill.
Wood, warm light and a lot of plants. Somewhere you can get an hour's work done or sit and do nothing at all.

The shop Cornmill Coffee opened in 2016, after a few years of roasting at home for anyone who would take a bag. The first batches went out of a shed
We buy from importers who will tell us which farm the coffee came from, take the milk from a dairy up the road, and bake what we would happily eat ourselves

We roast at the back three mornings a week. Here is what that actually means for what ends up in the cup.
Green beans land every month. Bought through an importer who names the farm and the harvest, so we know what we are roasting and roughly what the grower was paid for it.
Roasted here, and dated. Every bag on the shelf has the roast date on it. Past three weeks it comes off the shelf and becomes staff coffee — it does not quietly stay out front.
Ground when you order. Never before. It is the single biggest difference between a good cup and a disappointing one, and it costs nothing to get right.
Book a table, order a cake, or just ask. We would rather hear from you.
You will find us at 14 Cornmill Lane, Frome
