About the house
Thirty years of cooking breakfast for strangers
Fellgate House has been taking guests since 1994, and it's still run by the same family that started it. The rule hasn't changed either: we know you by your name, not your room number. Bread goes in the oven early, the fire goes on at four, and nobody is hurried anywhere.

You send us dates
Tell us when, which room and how many of you. Free, and nothing is held against you.

We reply within 24 hours
We confirm the room is free, give you the exact price and suggest a walk while we're at it.

A deposit holds it
A 30% deposit confirms the booking. The rest is payable when you arrive.

You arrive and stop
The room's ready, breakfast is sorted and the Dales are outside. We'll do the rest.
What you can expect
Three things we always do
Small things, but they're the ones people write to us about afterwards.
Breakfast is cooked when you come down, not kept warm. Until half past ten, every day, including the day you leave. Nobody is moved on so a table can be turned round.
Your boots will be dry. The drying room has a heated rail and it's on from October to April. Walking in wet boots two days running spoils a holiday, and it's an easy thing to fix.
The price we quote is the whole price. Breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi are in it, there's no visitor levy in England, and nothing appears on the bill at the end that wasn't there at the start.
