About us
A family firm, not a hatch
We opened in 2012 with three mixers and one trailer. There are over 120 machines on the yard now — hammer drills through to tipping trailers — and the same rule holds: nothing goes out off a shelf. It goes out run up, set right, and with a word about how to get the job done quickly and safely.
If you are not sure whether a 90 kg plate is enough for block paving, or what your car can legally tow, ring us. The advice costs nothing.

How it works
How hiring works
No ten-page contract. Four steps and you are away — the detail is in the hire terms.
You book the machine
By phone, email or the form on this page. We hold the machine for the date you agree.
You come in and leave a deposit
Photo ID and something with your address on it. Deposit by cash or card, and we write out the ticket.
We run it up and show you
It gets started in front of you and we show you the knack of it. Goggles and ear defenders are lent free.
You bring it back, we hand the deposit over
We check the machine there and then and give the deposit straight back — no waiting for a transfer.
Three things worth knowing before you hire
Ask what your car can legally tow. Since 2021 an
ordinary car licence covers a combined weight up to 3,500 kg — but that is
the car and the loaded trailer together, and it is your licence on the line.

The weekend really is two days. Out on Friday
afternoon, back Monday morning, charged as two. It is on the ticket, not just
on the website.
Check what is not in the price. Fuel, extension
leads and consumables are yours. We say so at the counter rather than at the
end, and we will lend you the goggles.
