The short version: I use your details to answer you, and for nothing else. I don’t sell them and I don’t pass them to anyone who doesn’t need them to do the job.

What I collect, and why
When you send the enquiry form I get whatever you put in it: your name, your phone number or email, your current website address if you gave one, and your message. I use it to reply to you and, if we go ahead, to do the work. That’s it — there’s no mailing list to end up on.
If you email me directly, I have your email and whatever you wrote, for the same reason.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into work: up to two years, in case you come back. Enquiries that do: for as long as I’m working for you, and afterwards for as long as I have to keep the paperwork for tax. Ask me to delete it sooner and I will, unless the law says otherwise.
Who else sees it
Only the services I need to run the business: the company that hosts this website and the service that carries my email. They process it on my instructions and can’t use it for anything of their own. Nobody else gets it, and it’s never sold.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to me holding it at all. Just email me — no forms, no charge, and I’ll deal with it within a month.
If you think I’ve handled your data badly, tell me first and I’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
