Do you cover me, and can you come today?
Two questions, asked in that order, usually on a phone, often standing next to something that’s leaking. If the answer isn’t visible without scrolling, they’re gone.

Are you actually registered?
Anyone touching gas needs to be Gas Safe registered, and people do check. Your registration number on the site settles it before they ring.

What’s this going to cost me?
Nobody expects a fixed price for an unknown leak. They do want to know your call-out charge and whether you charge more at the weekend.

What I’d put on a site for plumbers
Not a template with your logo dropped in. This is what actually earns its place on a site for your trade.
- Your phone number in the header of every page, tappable
- Your Gas Safe registration number where people can see it
- The towns and postcodes you actually cover, written out
- Call-out charge and hourly rate, and what changes out of hours
- Emergency work marked clearly and separately from booked jobs
- Photos of finished work — boilers, bathrooms, pipework done tidily
